
Moses Jurua Adriko
BACKGROUND
Moses is a Partner at MMAKS and co-head of the firm’s Litigation team.
His practice focuses mainly on corporate and commercial law, civil litigation, intellectual property, and international criminal law.
Moses is a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales and holds an LL.B (Hons) degree from the University of East Anglia. He also has a Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Centre.
Moses is a past president of the Uganda Law Society and chaired the African Forum of the International Bar Association (the “IBA”). He is a certified adjudicator accredited by the Kuala Lumpur Regional Centre for Arbitration and has served on the IBA Human Rights Institute as a Council Member.
Moses has served as a member of the Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Appeals Tribunal (PPDA Tribunal) and of the Transitional Justice Issues Committee of the Government of Uganda. He also served as a Non-Executive Director of Standard Chartered Bank (U) Limited. Moses is the current Chairman of Sanlam General Insurance (U) Limited, as well as Chairman of Standard Chartered Bank Provident Fund.

- Successfully defended an international construction company against a claim of US$ 1 million by a subcontractor in arbitration proceedings before the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC).
