BACKGROUND
Isaac is a Partner in the Litigation team. He focuses on areas of Tax litigation, general commercial litigation with emphasis in debt recovery, employment, insurance, and commodity disputes. Isaac also has considerable experience of civil fraud and criminal matters, and he has been involved in some of the leading cases in this area.
Isaac has previously been seconded to the corporate, commercial department and international arbitration department of Stephenson Harwood in London. He also a former secondee at 3 Verulam Buildings and Essex Court Chambers a leading barristers’ set in London.
Isaac is a former senior lecturer at the Law Development Centre, the only Bar School in Uganda, where he conducted lectures in civil proceedings and commercial transactions.

- Representing a multinational Beverages Ugandan based entity in an Income and Value Added Tax Dispute involving sums in excess of USD 500,000 at the Tax Appeal Tribunal.
- Advising a multinational Ugandan based entity on import duty rates in respect to importation of undenatured ethy alcohol, the value of tax sum involved exceeding USD 140,000.
- Acting for a statutory entity against a multinational Insurance company in a Performance Bond and Advance Payment Guarantee claims at the Court of Appeal, the value of the subject matter being in excess of USD 2,000,000.
